Calacatta Arc is quarried in a bedrock quarry. It has a creamy background which is interspersed with gold, taupe and grey veining. This coloration is highly desired as it looks equally beautiful with both warm and cool color palettes. This is a metamorphic stone which evolved from a sandstone due to extreme heat and pressure. Due to the qualities of the stone, the slabs are book-matched; meaning slab one and slab two will be cut and polished to create a mirror image of each other. These are then kept in sequence, which allows for a consistent flow in pattern. As a natural stone product, it is recommended that this be sealed to extend its longevity.
